The website for UMBC’s Graduate School no longer reflected the full range of programs and offerings available at the post-baccalaureate level and was difficult to maintain in the existing format.

In addition to updating the relevant information, the Graduate School was also interested in creating a more user-centric experience for prospective and current students. Extensive research with key stakeholder groups, as well as review of exemplar sites, provided clear indication of how the new site should function. This research was also invaluable in understanding the target audiences’ definitions of “too much information” and provided a refreshing view into how these users read and process content.
